As great as the food is, what really sets the Franklin Grill apart is our amazing atmosphere. Located in an historic 1840’s carriage shop, The Grill is cozy and inviting, feeling more like a friend’s house than a restaurant. Our charming garden patio is by far the nicest in the area (no sitting on the sidewalk here). Stop by and enjoy Michigan’s beautiful summer days the way they should be…outside. Or warm up by the fires we often have in the fall (outside, not in).

Our seasonal menus feature a wide range of items that will please even the most discerning palette. From lamb chops prepared to perfection, the freshest seafood, to our house-specialty meatloaf, you will find exactly what you are craving. The nightly dinner specials range from Roasted Indiana Duck to Pan Seared Sea Scallops and are always amazing. Every Wednesday night is Franklin Rib night featuring our delicious housemade BBQ sauce, and Friday is Fish and Chip night. We are proud to serve home made Corned Beef and Turkey. Our staff is specially trained to help with any dietary restrictions you may have. Many items are or can be made vegetarian or gluten-free upon request.

Our kitchen has a passion and it shows in our food. We strive to make most items in-house…everything from roasting the turkey for our salads, house-cut fries, all house-made desserts, and even the potato chips for sandwiches. Whenever possible, fresh, local produce is used. We also strive to support our fellow Michigan entrepreneurs. Just a few of the local merchants we support are McClure’s pickles, Ray’s ice cream, Germack fresh roasted coffee, Valentine vodka, and Bleu Nectar tequila.
